As I want to attract some international awareness for this agenda item I’d like to promote the following in English: We will have the first German Live Twitter Wine Taste @ CeBIT on March 7th. What’s it’s all about? Well - for those that do not know anything about CeBIT Webciety - check this explanatory post. For those that do not have a clue regarding “Live Twitter Tastings” - check Craig Drollett’s Twitter Taste Live Service for similar events. After gathering the basic information I’d like to give you the details about the Live Twitter Wine Taste @ CeBIT by referring to a post of Matthias Metze who is organizing this event:
- 2008 Riesling Wairarapa vom Johner Estate New Zealand (@johner) *;
- 2007 Heidelberger Dormenacker Riesling Kabinett trocken vom Weingut Clauer (@winzerblog) *;

My English translation:
On Saturday, March 7th, we will have a wine event on stage at the CeBIT Webciety: the first Live Twitter Wine Taste in Germany! The event is supported by three German wine growers who are already on Twitter quite a while: @johner, @winzerblog and @wuertz.
Some wine twitterati will be at the place - tasting and talking about in it on twitter while being moderated by the German wine video blogger Marlene Duffy of Bottlepot. We are looking for many offsite participants joining us on Twitter - therefore we have bundled a small package of wine together with the three wine growers at a special event price.
- 2008 Riesling Wairarapa from Johner Estate New Zealand (@johner) *;
- 2007 Heidelberger Dormenacker Riesling Kabinett Dry from Weingut Clauer (@winzerblog) *;
- 2007 Potate Riesling Dry from Dirk Würtz (@wuertz).
The package can be ordered at a price of 16 EUR (plus 6,90 EUR shipping costs). At this price we want to push this event and promote an exciting live tasting event! The package can either be ordered in the shop at Viva-Vino.de or (for those who do not want to register at the shop solely for this event!) via mail at m.metze [at] viva-vino [dot] de!
The Live Twitter Wine Taste (the hashtag will be #twv for Twitter Wein-Verkostung as the German word for Twitter Wine Taste!) will be on stage at CeBIT Webciety at 2.40 pm (CET) for 20 mins - but on Twitter it will be even longer! So join in for the party … you might also have a look at the latest video of Marlene Duffy’s Bottleplot ( Germany’s female answer Gary Vaynerchuk ):
Last but not least - the BTV (Blog Tickets Verlosung means a CeBIT tickets raffling) … the first five trackbacks to this post (as well as tweets linked as comments on this page) will get a one-day CeBIT ticket for free!
