About: CeBIT Webciety

As I am trying to talk to some international speakers about the Webciety Area and a possible speaking engagement I want to give a brief note on what’s behind the CeBIT Webciety Area and what we are heading for.

Well - the CeBIT Webciety Area is open conference and a special exhibition area in Hall 6 on CeBIT 2009. It is supposed to discuss the trends, changes/potentials and concepts/practices about the (new) Internet society. Means what is changing with the politics, economy, education and other domains of our society while the web is becoming omnipresent in our lives.

The open conference will have a well balanced programm with international and national talks and keynotes, discussion panels and participative elements like forms of pecha-kucha presentations and other.
